Police seeks two in armed robbery of Zaxby's
WARNER ROBINS - Police are looking for two men in the attempted armed robbery Thursday night of Zaxby's restaurant on Ga. 96 in Warner Robins.
One of the two masked, would-be robbers was described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
The second man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants.
No one was injured in the 9:22 p.m. attempted robbery of the restaurant at 861 West Ga. 96. There were no customers in the restaurant and employees were preparing to close at 10 p.m., Warner Robins police detective Art Curnutte said Friday.
Police said the masked men entered the restaurant through a back door. One brandished a knife and demanded to be let into the manager's office, police said, and the other tried to break into the office. Unsuccessful, the men fled on foot to an open field behind the restaurant.
